Oxford University has established a project for Supporting Data Management Infrastructure for the Humanities (SuDaMIH). The initiative is supported by funding from JISC.

The Sudamih project will:

  • DevelopĀ  services at Oxford for data management, curation and long-term preservation for selected humanities research activities
  • Address database support needs in the humanities, including support for specific data types, sustainability and service costing models
  • Identify the training and support requirements for humanities researchers
  • Investigate the roles and responsibilities of service providers in Oxford for supporting humanities researchers with the management and curation of research data

The project will focus on Oxford University’s data management requirements. Its findings and methods could also be applied at other institutions.
