About

Plethaurus.com was created in July 2007 by Margaret L Ruwoldt. That’s me. G’day.

It’s a place to share notes, ideas and other stuff about what I’m doing and learning at work.

After several years in the corporate communications and web management areas at two leading Australian universities, a series of organisational changes have caused me to drift sideways into the rather more esoteric area of enterprise information architecture.

In the interests of not making (too much of) a fool of myself, I’ve embarked on a steep learning curve. When new acquaintances ask what I do for a crust, what will I say? What *is* enterprise information architecture, and why does it matter? Can my other skills — in web, training, communication, writing and editing, admin and management — be usefully applied to an EIA role? What *are* those skills, and what do I know about that stuff?

For some possible — and occasionally plausible — answers, subscribe to the RSS feed or visit the home page occasionally.
